What are My Treatment Options?
At Axis Chiropractic, we believe in providing the necessary objective information that allows you to make the best decision for you and your family. While it is not our place to speak on behalf of other healthcare professionals about the interventions you have chosen or may choose to do, part of our purpose as educators, is to provide you with the information necessary to make educated choices about your health.
We understand that what we offer may not be for everyone and if we determine during the consultation that our office is not a good fit, we want you to know that you can always count on us to be an objective health resource for you to rely on. Since one of our goals is to be an objective, health resource for our community, it should come as no surprise that we receive calls from relatives of patients and other healthcare professionals when they have concerns about their health challenges.
After some time of minimal or no improvement, the next step usually involves a trip to the family doctor where more medications are prescribed and Physical Therapy is recommended. Physical Therapy will perform exercises and use other modalities to decrease pain, improve range of motion and decrease muscle spasm. For most folks, if this does not work, then they may be referred to a specialist for further testing, an injection, stronger medication or even surgical consultation to reduce their symptoms.
At this point, most folks want to avoid the more invasive procedures, so they look for alternatives. Commonly, people will seek symptomatic relief from conventional chiropractic, massage, acupuncture or even try herbs. If these alternative interventions don’t improve the patient’s symptoms, people will often relent and try the more invasive procedures.
All of these aforementioned treatment options can be effective at the appropriate time; however, all of the healthcare options that were made available only addressed the symptoms (secondary conditions) rather than the underlying cause!
At Axis Chiropractic our focus is NeuroStructural Correction. This is accomplished using specific adjusting techniques and individualized NeuroStructural Rehabilitation exercises to minimize the neurostructural shift.
It is important to understand that Dr. Rob has an excellent relationship with a number of healthcare providers in the area. If it is determined during the consultation that our office is not the right fit, we will do our best to refer you to another, more appropriate, healthcare provider.
Where a consultation is a Conversation-NOT A Commitment.
